The First Sunday in Lent: Not All Who Wander Are Lost
February 26, 2012, 6:55 am
Filed under: Lent

You are invited to worship with us today (Perritte Memorial UMC, 1025 Durst St, Nacogdoches, TX) at 11 am for our traditional service or 5 pm for our Mosaic experiential service.

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

JRR Tolkien (England/1892-1973)

Every day during Lent, a brief thought, meditation, prayer, or picture will be posted here. You’re invited to use this as a jumping off point for your own spiritual practices during this season of preparation for Easter. If you would like to share a response, please comment below!
